Full MT workshop

Description
- The course shows the capabilities of machine translation and familiarises you with the technology behind them.
- After a bit of not very boring theory we introduce the participants to the practice of post-editing, which can be treated as a separate service or part of the translation process.
- We discuss the evaluation of the suitability of MT for various use cases and the exciting issue of MTPE rates.
Program
- What state-of-the-art Neural MT is really like?
- How to use MT: to understand the content or to generate text of professional quality.
- Post-editing exercises in popular CAT tools.
- An overview of selected MT engines and recent offerings from MT providers.
- Do MT systems capture and collect what we translate?
- Post-editing exercises with focus on the specifics of NMT.
- How to assess whether MT helps or disturbs?
